what is biology?

Biology is the study of living things, from tiny cells and molecules to huge ecosystems and the history of life on Earth. In this class you will learn about how living things grow, stay alive and interact with other life. Taking biology seriously will open up many future careers, including jobs as a doctor, nurse, pharmacist or biologist. At Palmer, biology is filled with a lot of fun things to do such as labs, group activities and experiments. You’ll also learn about subjects such as the human body.

How much and who are the teachers of biology and science????

At Palmer, there are a total of four science teachers, and some of them teach biology. In grade 8 science, students learn a mix of topics, including biology, chemistry, and physics. This helps you build a good understanding of different areas of science before choosing which one to focus on in later grades.

My comment

In my years at Palmer, I've only gone through 1 biology/science class because I'm only in grade 9. Throughout that year, though, I really enjoyed the biology part because we did so many fascinating experiments. It really made my time at Palmer fun and enjoyable because science is personally my favourite subject. If you're asking me if I want to maybe take biology in the near future, I would most likely say yes because I like the concept of  learning about the earth and what's in it. I believe that continuing my studies in biology could open up exciting opportunities for future research and career paths.

What are they doing project or

assignment wise???

The science teachers at Palmer have students do lots of fun and interesting projects, like dissecting cow eyes in grade 8. From grades 9 to 12, you’ll learn about many different science topics. This includes cell division, ecology, and environmental science. You’ll also learn about genetics, evolution, and how genes make every living thing unique. Other topics include cell biology, microbiology (like viruses and bacteria), botany (plants), zoology (animals), and how scientists classify living things. Overall, science at Palmer helps you understand how life works and how everything in nature is connected.
